Student Ministries are our communities and environments for students in grades 6-12. During the school year MSM and HSM meet as a large group the first Sunday of the month and offer a number of other opportunities to connect: weekly small groups, special events, and retreats. Every student has a group of friends and caring adults to help them explore the Christian faith. We invest in relationships because our mission is for every student to be known and cared for.
This way or that way? Turn right or swing left? Go with these people or hang with those people? We have so many decisions we could make, places we could go, and things we could do, but we don’t always know which way to go. At our Winter Retreat, we’ll have a chance to get away from it all and learn about how Jesus shapes our lives in our series, “Walk This Way.” We’re all going to the Grace Chapel Foxboro campus for a day packed with worship, games, free time, and the opportunity to see how God wants us to live and how we are invited to follow Him. We hope to see you there!
Drop off will be at 8am at the Grace Chapel Lexington Campus, buses will be departing shortly after for Foxboro so please arrive promptly. There will be a parent session in the Sanctuary as soon as the busses depart . Pick up will also be at the Grace Chapel Lexington Campus at 10pm.
Registration is now open. The cost of the one day retreat is $75 and covers the cost of swag, supplies, buses, and food for the entire day. After January 23 there will be a $15 late fee for each student registering and registration will close on January 30.
The Grace Chapel Foxboro campus will be hosting all of our students for the winter retreat! Drop off and morning registration will be at Grace Chapel Lexington at 8 am (except for Foxboro students - check in and registration will be at the Foxboro campus!).
This is for all of our middles and high school students across all campuses and their friends.
For students who have registered for the retreat, they are also invited to attend a Friday night campus specific event. More details will come for all of these events as we approach the retreat and will be sent out to those who have registered for the retreat.
East Lexington & Lexington students will be having a worship night and snacks at the Lexington Campus from 7-8:30pm
Foxboro students will be meeting at the Foxboro campus from 6-9:30pm for a movie, table games, crafts, video games and a pre-retreat gathering.
Watertown students will be meeting at Shake Shake in Watertown from 5-7pm, bring $15 for dinner.
Wilmington students stay tuned for the details of the Friday night event.
Please contact your campus Student Ministry director directly or reach out to Paige (the NextGen admin) at .
We are following public school and town guidelines. As such, while we're indoors and on the bus, students and leaders will be required to wear masks at all times and maintain reasonable distance with no physical contact.
We recognize that the circumstances of every family and volunteer is different, and that no plan will ultimately satisfy everyone in our community. Please know, however, that we are working diligently to explore every option available to us, that we remain guided by the medical science of our government health officials and our in-house medical professionals. We are prepared to make adjustments along the way if the public health conditions or other variables change over time. We do also have air filtration systems in our large meeting spaces.
Contact Tracing: we do have a contract tracing procedure in place for when our students attend an event (such as the retreat) and subsequently test positive with Covid. Please know that you can email to inform our Safety Team that someone has tested positive and our Safety Team will follow up to perform the necessary steps for contact tracing. They will follow up with anyone who may have been exposed to inform them. For more information about our Covid safety protocols, please visit: https://www.grace.org/covidsafety/
Developing Symptoms at the Event: For the retreat, where participants will be with us for an extended period of time and appear to be developing multiple COVID symptoms (Cough, Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, Fatigue, Muscle or body aches, Headache, New loss of taste or smell, Sore throat, Congestion or runny nose, Nausea or vomiting, Diarrhea in any combination, or if they have a fever), they will be discreetly isolated and cared for from the rest of the group until a parent or guardian can pick them up. We know that is not very “fun” for the student if that happens, but this is for your child’s health and the health and well-being of the rest of the group as there will be those with and without vaccination. which will have a combination of those eligible to be vaccinated and those who are not yet eligible.
Refund Policy: In the event that a registered child cannot attend the retreat due to illness or because they are being required to quarantine, a refund will be available up until 12hrs prior to the retreat. There will be no refunds available except in the event of illness or quarantine as mentioned unless we can bring in another student off of a waiting list.
Ultimately, our goal is to see as many of our students as possible safely back together again in person, so, whatever we do, we do with that desire in mind.
Questions, concerns, or comments, don't hesitate to reach out to your campus director or our safety team at .
Our Lexington Student Ministries meets every week at the Lexington Campus, MSM meets in the Gym and HSM meets in the Large Group room (both on the second floor of the church building). The first week of the month is usually Large Group programming on Friday nights from 7:00-8:30pm, with fun games, live teaching, and worship. The rest of the month is Small Group on Sunday Mornings during the second service from 11:00am - 12:15pm, where we will gather together and then break out into gender and age based groups for discussion and connecting with each other.
In order for students to participate in any of the in-person Student Ministry events they need to have an updated waiver for summer 2021. Click below to complete the waiver.
Middle School Ministry is all about caring for and supporting students as they journey through 6th, 7th and 8th grade. We love having fun and discovering what it means to follow Jesus and love those around us. We believe that God is at work in each student’s life and we love coming alongside students as they encounter Jesus.
If you are new to MSM and would like to get involved or have question, please email Jon ( )! He would love to get you connected!
High School Ministry is all about coming alongside teenagers as they ask big questions about life and faith. HSM seeks to be a time of rest from the busyness of school life. Students are invited to just be themselves as we worship, learn, and talk about what God is doing in our lives.
If you are new to HSM and would like to get involved or have questions, please email Jon ( ). He would love to get you connected!
