UPDATE: February 2, 2021
The health and safety of our congregation and the communities we serve remains our top priority. Our Board of Elders, Executive Team, and Reopening Task Force have developed a phased reopening plan with input from healthcare specialists and leading public health experts. This plan meets or exceeds State and CDC guidelines. We have successfully completed the Planning Phase as well as the Start Phase and are now in the middle of our third phase …. the Cautious Phase.
As current State guidelines become less restrictive and more studies highlight the negative social impact the pandemic is having on our youth and seniors, we are redesigning this phase to first focus on engaging more Kidstown, Student Ministry, and Senior-facing gatherings. We are encouraging these specific ministries to begin planning now for possible mid-March approval to meet indoors using multiple small rooms simultaneously following all established protocols. Our hope is to see an increasing number of approved gatherings, focused on specific ministries by late winter, leading to greater ability to gather and eventually reopening of our sanctuary and in-person services with limited capacities based on then-current guidelines.
The following is a living document/working plan, which will be constantly reviewed and revised as needed. For each phase, we will move forward once we have met the Grace Chapel milestones and if there are no new updates provided by Governor Baker’s office requiring further restrictions. If there are new guidelines from the state or other concerns, we will take a pause and reassess.
Thank you for your patience as we continue to minister online on Sundays and midweek through our website, YouTube, and social media. For questions regarding our reopening, please email .
