Spring Serve 2018

About Spring Serve

taking the church to the neighborhood

May 5, 2018

Sometimes, nothing says, “I love you” quite like a little elbow grease. On Saturday, May 5th, Grace Chapel wants to show a little love to our surrounding communities and local organizations.

This past year, Grace Chapel has been all about "finding our Go." We're all gifted with abilities and resources that can be used by God. And sometimes, its fun to help our neighbors by just pulling weeds, painting walls, or making cards to send to those that need some encouragement-especially when we do it together in community!

Bring the whole family! Invite your friends, neighbors, and Life Community group, too! There's an opportunity for everyone to get involved. Spring Serve begins with a light breakfast at 8:00 am, and most projects conclude by 12:00 noon.

Each Grace Chapel location is currently organizing places where we can serve in creation care projects, as well as serving those who are under resourced.  Here is how the day will be organized:

  • 7:30am: check in
  • 8:00am: breakfast with your Service Team at your Campus (East Lexington will meet at the Lexington Campus)
  • 8:30am: travel to Service Project
  • 12:00pm: conclude project (please note: some projects will designated to continue past 12:00pm)
  • We serve rain or shine, so bring some wet-weather-ready apparel if you're serving outdoors!
