Kidstown needs a wide range of volunteers, from small group leaders to check in team, to tech and large group leaders. There are so many ways to serve in Kidstown! Some of these roles work directly with engaging and building relationships with children and parents while other roles are a bit more behind the scenes. Interested, have questions, or want to start a conversation about what it would look like to serve in Kidstown? Fill out the 1 minute "Serve in NextGen" form below to get in touch with us!
Summer Sunday Team
The Summer Sunday Team will consist of some of the roles below (Small group leader, Check in team and more) and is someone who is available and willing to serve this summer in person on Sunday mornings starting July 11. Check out the other roles and let us know in the "Serve in NextGen" form if you are available to volunteer this summer.
This is a short term commitment, so if you are interested in checking out Kidstown before making a year long commitment this opportunity is for you!
Small Group Leader
A Small Group Leader co-leads a Sunday morning small group for similar aged children. A more hands-on role with kids in classrooms, spanning all ages of Kidstown from babies to 5th graders. Key roles include reinforcing the Bible Story of the day, running games/activities to help children understand the Bible Story, and taking an interest in each child in your classroom, or around your table. Curriculum is provided for PreK – 5th grade.
There is also an option to be a cross campus virtual Small Group Leader.
Check In Team
A member of this team will be the front lines of greeting our families and getting them registered/checked into the system for the morning before they head to their classrooms. This team will assist families at our manned check in stations, as well as troubleshoot the self-check in stations.
Large Group Team
This team is all about engaging our elementary children in the Bible Story for the morning. Effectively communicating our Life App, Memory Verse, and the day’s Bottom Line. Script and visuals are provided!
This role goes the extra mile for Kidstown. A few of the tasks include overseeing the large group and small group time, reporting any needs/disruptions to the Children’s Director, and making sure the classrooms are staffed and the children are all in the place they belong. You are one of the first faces the kids will see as they enter the doors to Kidstown. This role works very closely with the Kidstown Director to ensure a smooth morning of ministry.
A worship team member has a musical gifting and would work alongside the large group team to engage with children while leading singing and worshiping God during large group time.
As a member of this team, you will help with the technical aspect of our large group time. Making sure sound/visuals/computers are ready to go and working for our LG Team.
This team works behind the scenes to ensure all campuses and all classrooms have the supplies needed to effectively teach the Bible lessons each Sunday. If you like details, and have some weekday time available, this team is for you!
A Video Producer Volunteer will compile online content from our curriculum provider (Orange) and edit each age group together (PreK, Elementary, and Preteen). This role also includes posting completed videos to our Grace Chapel YouTube channel under the Kidstown playlist and can be completed remotely.
