ELX Kidstown
Early Childhood
This NEXTGEN children’s ministry provides loving care to our infants, toddlers, and Pre-schoolers. Simple Bible lessons and Godly play are central to our curriculum. Wanted: Sunday teachers and care-givers for children 0-5yrs. (adults)
Elementary
This NEXTGEN children’s ministry help kids learn about God and see God’s in the everyday life. We use a video-based curriculum in addition to fun activities on Sundays and outside of church. Wanted: Sunday teachers, activities and events hosts/coordinators. (adults)
Students (ELXSM)
This NEXTGEN youth ministry supports middle and high school students integrate their faith into all aspects of their lives. Students co-teach in Kidstown and participate in worship service on Sundays. They also gather routinely throughout the month to have fun, explore faith in Christ and serve the local community. Wanted: Activities and events hosts/coordinators, drivers, Godly mentors. (adults)
Worship Arts
Worship Arts Ministry is the combined ministries of musicians, audio visual tech teams, artists, set decorators, poets, dancers and other creative thinkers. Together they provide musical support in services, moments of reflection during service and special events such as Sacred Spaces. Wanted: All the above (everyone)
Prayer
This GC cornerstone ministry serves individuals and the congregation with prayer. Prayer ministers cover our worship arts team with prayer before service, lead prayer during worship services, and pray for the needs of individuals after the 2nd Sunday service. They collaborate with Pastor Tom to organize prayer events and develop prayer components for special events. Wanted: Caring Christian prayer warriors (adults, youth)
Sunday Team
Sunday Team prepares the LCA facilities for Sunday activities each team. This includes equipment set-up and break-down of physical spaces for regular hospitality, worship service, Kidstown classrooms and community lunches, and special events if needed. Almost everything is on wheels! Wanted: Movers, stakers, coffee & tea makers, and a Sunday Team supervisor (adult, youth)
Welcome
We are all ambassadors for ELX. But this ministry ensures that our collective first touch reflects God’s grace and love. This includes greeting visitors and attenders, orienting first-time guest to the facility and worship experience, providing details about church groups and events, collecting contact information to support connection and on-going communication. Ushers and offering collectors are also part of this team. Wanted: Caring, listening, responsive, joyful people (adults, families)
Hospitality
This ministry creates an inclusive, open-hearted environment for Sunday mornings, community lunches, celebration Sundays and special events. This team provides nourishment for the body and spirit in ways that nourishes the soul. Wanted: Cooks, decorators, activity and event coordinators, Sunday and special event hosts
