Kids Week 2021

August 2-6

Summer is here! We are ready to help you make it a great one! We have once again redesigned Kids Week and it will be coming to your homes virtually AND some opt-in in-person sessions for kids and families! This program, for kids who have completed K-5, is all about helping kids learn that something remarkable can happen when they start learning to see themselves the way God sees them. That’s real confidence. We’re planning an amazing week that encourages every child to know that because of Jesus, they can have confidence because . . .
They are known.
They belong.
They are forgiven.
They can change.
They can make a difference.

We will provide you with a fun Kids Week Kit, filled with everything you’ll need for an amazing week of learning about what it means to PRESS PLAY and GET IN THE MIX! While in-person sign-ups will be limited, this is an amazing opportunity to invite kids in the neighborhood to join you and your family in the virtual adventure, and then join us Friday evening for a family celebration!

There will be 90 minute in-person Kids Week available on Monday August 2 - Thursday August 5 at a limited capacity due to current State regulations and a fun family Bash on Friday August 6 from 7-8pm.

Registration for Kids Week is $15 per family for kids who have completed Kindergarten through 5th Grade. Let us know if you have any questions! Email

When and where is Kids Week?

Kids Week will take place the week of August 2-6. There will be an opportunity to participate in-person on Monday through Thursday mornings at either our Lexington campus or our Foxboro campus.

We are also producing a full digital Kids Week for use at home with friends and neighbors, if you are not yet ready to return in person!

Will we be abiding by guidelines and ensuring Kids Week is safe?

Yes! Our facilities team has gone through each room to ensure we meet the proper capacity rules (currently, 50%). Additionally, we have changed our crew numbers from 2 leaders/10 kids to 1 leader/5 kids. We will keep masks on and try to maintain the recommended 3ft distance.

What is the maximum number of people in the building?

Current guidelines recommend 50% capacity. Due to the rooms needed for our Lexington, our limit is 200. Foxboro capacity is 50.

How will the hybrid model work?

For those comfortable gathering in-person, we will have four morning sessions, Monday through Thursday from 9:30-11am. We'll host a socially distant Large Group time, Imagination Station, and Missions Station.

Our digital Kids Week content will be available to all families throughout the week. Each day's video will be released in the morning and you can decide when and how you'll participate in watching the videos and creating the suggested craft.

Additionally, Friday evening from 7-8pm, we will host a big celebration for all families who participated in Kids Week (in-person or virtually). Similar to our FX events, this will be a fun, celebratory, and engaging experience for the whole family.

How do I get my Kids Week Kit?

You will be able to drive by and pick up your kits at any of the Campus locations during the Sunday morning service or from 12-2pm on July 25 or just during the Sunday morning service on August 1st.

Or, we can mail your kit to your home for a $10 shipping fee.

What will I need for supplies?

We will be sending an email with a list of standard supplies you probably have at home; markers, crayons, glue, etc. In addition, we will be packing each family a Kids Week kit with everything else you'll need for a fun week with your kids!

Will my SHINE child be able to participate?

YES! Our SHINE leadership team will be adding some helpful tips to each day to help you include your son or daughter in the fun!

You always serve creative snacks that go along with the theme, will you also provide our snacks?

No snacks will be allowed in-person. Also, we will not be sending food in your kits. There will be a list of ideas for you to use for snacks.

Do I have to do the virtual component in a certain block of time?

Only if you want. You can spread the activities out all day long or you can set aside an hour or so to experience your Kids Week. Make your own schedule that fits your family! The content will be available all day throughout Kids Week. We'll keep the videos accessible for 3 weeks following Kids Week.

What about my preschoolers?

While our in-person Kids Week is an experience for our elementary-aged children, this year's virtual activities can be enjoyed by your preschoolers as well. In addition, we will include a couple of special extras just for the preschoolers in your home, so be sure to let us know how many you have when you register!

*We will have childcare available for volunteers serving on Monday through Thursday morning.

Will there be walk-in registration the week of Aug 2nd?

No. Due to COVID-19 guidelines we are requiring pre-registration.

Is there a music CD for purchased this year?

Yes and no. Yes, you can purchase one for yourself directly from No, we will not be selling them this year. BUT you can also download a free version of Spotify and the Orange VBS Songs for PRESS PLAY will be available there for FREE!

What about inviting a friend?

Yes! We would love for you to invite a friend, but they will need to pre-register for us to follow in-person guidelines.

If participating remotely, maybe you can gather in your backyard with another family and do this together! Bring your masks and hand sanitizer and plan for some fun! If they write down your name for the referral, you can be entered into a raffle to win a fun prize!

What if we are away the week of Aug 2, can we still participate?

YES! Register and get your kit. You can either take the virtual Kids Week on the road with you or plan to do it on your own time. We will keep the videos accessible for 3 weeks following Kids Week.
