Global Awareness Week 2025

Hope Rising Among the Nations

Lately it’s harder than ever to hold onto hope.

The state of our world can make it feel like we are living in dark times. There are divisions among nations and within the church. We hear of wars, famines, earthquakes and floods. People are on the move, seeking a better life for their children. Loneliness, anxiety and fear are pandemic. Injustice seems to prevail. It’s easy to feel despair and hopeless. Where is God?

Yet hope is rising.

Spoiler alert--God is working still, his wonders to perform! “From the rising of the sun to its setting, my name will be great among the nations” (Malachi 1:11a) declares the Lord. In the midst of the stories of conflict and suffering that dominate our news cycle, there is so much happening that gives us reason to hope!

Our ministry partners are working faithfully here in our region and around the world, serving the poor, the needy, and the marginalized. Their stories inform and encourage us; their courageous faith and bold witness inspire us. How can they be so hopeful in the midst of suffering, material poverty, lack of resources and political uncertainty? As we listen, learn, pray and encourage one another throughout the week, our hearts, minds and spirits experience more of God’s kingdom.

Global Awareness Week is a special week on the Grace Chapel calendar that can change our perspective on the world. Join us during our special GAW ministry gatherings. Meet a partner. Learn about their ministry and be encouraged.

And don’t just have hope – be the hope the world needs by getting involved in God’s kingdom work.

Hope is rising among the nations!
