Grace Chapel Sunday Morning Groups at 2 Militia

Groups begin the new year on September 22nd, unless otherwise noted.

 9:15 AM Sunday Mornings:

Alpha with Peter and Kathy Lang and Team (Room 101, begins October 6th): A group for folks interested in asking tough questions about life and faith in a relaxed, non-threatening environment without fear of pressure or judgement. Pre-registration is suggested. To register, go to: https://www.grace.org/alpha/

Roots with George Darrell and Team (Room 102, begins September 29th):  A 10-week experience to connect with God and build relationships with others on the journey. Participants will use scripture passages and reflections in a Roots book and engage in weekly small group discussions. Pre-registration and a donation for materials is suggested. To register, go to: https://www.grace.org/roots/

Kingdom Living with Luanne Wellman and Team (Room 201, begins September 29th):  Kingdom Living builds on the foundation of the Roots curriculum with daily readings and weekly discussions structured to usher you into deeper time with God, while practically working out how you can be a faithful presence of God’s kingdom in your relationships and community. Pre-registration and a donation for materials is suggested. To register, go to: https://www.grace.org/kl/

Spiritual Wrestling with Steve Pustell and Team (Church Library):  An adult small group to wrestle with questions of faith in a workshop format, evaluating questions in light of what we can learn on our own and from others. This will be hands-on with visits to the Church Library, and folks may find a phone, a tablet, or a laptop to be helpful (but is not required) as we learn how to separate the wheat from the chaff to reach reasoned decisions.

“Young” Marrieds with Andrzej and Christine Strzepek (Room 103):  A group for couples married ten years or less to help cultivate a healthy marriage by learning biblical principles and practical ways to build a Christ-centered marriage. A donation for materials is suggested.

10:30 AM Sunday Mornings:

Deaf Ministry Bible Group with Alex Avram and Team (room G-4, year-round):  This group will focus on how the amazing stories of the Bible relate to us and help us learn how to live in this world.  The group will communicate exclusively in American Sign Language with no voice interpretation.

11:00 AM Sunday Mornings:

Roots with Doug Mostrom and Team (Room 102, begins September 29th): SEE DESCRIPTION ABOVE

Kingdom Living with Bo Kaufmann and Team (Room 101, begins September 29th):   SEE DESCRIPTION ABOVE

The Tech-Wise Family with Chris and Florence Lee and Team (Room 103):  This NextGen group invites parents, guardians and families to discuss and learn how having technology in its right place can enhance rather than hinder your family, using Andy Crouch's book, Tech-Wise Family, to go beyond the typical questions of what, where and when and discover tools we need to decide together who we want to be as a family. Donations for materials is suggested.

The Bible Tells Me So with Tim and Paula Castner and Katherine Clark (Room G-2):  Come join us for an exploration and discussion of Pete Enns’ recent book, The Bible Tells Me So…Why Defending Scripture Has Made Us Unable to Read It. Diverse perspectives and honest questions are welcome as we dive into this important topic.

In the Wilderness - Then and Now, a Bible Study, with Steve Hamilton, John Ratichek and Team (10:45 AM; Rm 201):  Experiences in the wilderness make or break us, depending on our relationship with God.  Using individual study and group discussion of Exodus, we will learn about God's intention for us in the crucible of current experiences in the wilderness.
