Upon observing secular Americans observing Thanksgiving without acknowledging the supernatural, a Christian leader quipped, “It is a peculiarity to see so many give thanks to no one. Obviously God is to be thanked but ironically, in a secular society, we illogically give thanks to no one … so why even bother?”
Giving thanks requires a receiver. As you reflect this Thanksgiving holiday, may you give the effort to give thanks to the One who provides, blesses, and sustains all our needs.
