“Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus. 41 The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ).  And he brought him to Jesus.”  (John 1:40-42a)

Andrew started following Jesus and the first thing he did was go and tell his brother Simon and bring him to Jesus. When we find something good we like to tell other people. When we find something really good we not only tell them but bring them to experience it as well. Have you found that Jesus has changed your life and you are experiencing the joy of a relationship with Him? Do you have a desire to share Jesus with someone so they can experience that relationship as well? Do you want to be like Andrew? These days,  you may have to prepare the way a bit. The best sharing starts with a relationship of friendship and trust. A gentle introduction is best, like an invitation to a Christmas eve service at church. Then you can share why your relationship with Jesus  means so much to you. Don’t worry. There’s no right or wrong way to share. It just needs to come from a heart that cares enough to share the best news in the world. The Holy Spirit can take any bumbling effort and turn it into a powerful message. Don’t be discouraged if it doesn’t seem to work the first time. Some nuts are harder to crack. Be like Andrew and see what the Holy Spirit will do.

Prayer Prompt: Lord, who do you want me to share the good news with? Show me how to share some of Your love with them so I can bring them to You.
