Updates from the Board of Elders

Grace Chapel is a congregationally-governed church, led and served by the Board of Elders, who are responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and accountability for the overall ministry of Grace Chapel. This group includes lay leaders who are elected at our Annual Meeting, and our Senior and Executive Pastors.

Operationally, we are led by an Executive Team made up of seven staff members: five long-term and two at large who rotate on and off the team on an annual basis.

Our campuses are led by our Campus Pastor Team, and supported by our Central Ministries and Ministry Support teams.

Church Leadership

Senior Pastor

The Senior Pastor, under the authority of the Board of Elders, is the spiritual leader of the church, responsible for preaching/worship ministries, providing vision for overall church policy, giving spiritual encouragement to its leaders, and for overseeing the operation of the church.

We are currently searching for our next Senior Pastor.

Executive Pastor, Mark MacDonald

The Executive Pastor’s responsibility would be that of chief-of-staff of the church, directing all activities of the church staff and its programs, managing day-to-day operations, and leading the strategic planning process.

Board of Elders, Victor Gerdes - Chair

The Board of Elders shall be the spiritual guardians of the church and be responsible for the spiritual development of the church, according to the teachings of Scripture and the Constitution and Bylaws.

They will provide guidance to the Senior Pastor in the spiritual oversight and the administration of the total ministry of the church.
