Oct. 10, 2026. A Story of Faith. Join us as Alex Gitungano shares his story of fleeing genocide in Burundi as a young boy. After losing much of his family and friends, he then grew up in the DRC in the midst of famine and wars. He finally made his way to the U.S. for college and eventually earned an MPH from BU. He subsequently founded the Justice Health Initiative … which partners with Boston Children’s Hospital and others to provide critical health care to children that is not available in their home countries. His story is one of faith and persistence. Plus you’ll get some wicked good home cooked bacon & eggs, and a chance to talk with the other guys. So come and join us!
