When we think of those who are homeless, we usually don’t picture teenage girls and young children. Unfortunately, young people are a very real part of the homeless population. These are the children of God the Lord called us minister to. My Father’s House is a local Christian ministry that provides homeless teenage mothers and their children with a loving home, education in parenting and life-skills, and counseling by Christian counselors. We seek to demonstrate God’s love to these young women and equip them with the tools they will need to care for themselves and their children, to become self-sufficient, contributing members of the community, and break the cycle of homelessness.
