Are you interested in serving students in grades 6-12 and their families here at Grace Chapel?
In order to have the most influence in the lives of our students, we need an array of volunteers. There are so many ways to serve in Student Ministry! Some of these roles include building relationships with students and their parents that help students grow in their sense of belonging and take steps in their faith. Other roles are more supportive, helping set the stage for parent engagement, leader support and the function of our program.
Below are the different roles that we are looking to be filled by adults of any age and gifting. Interested, have questions, or want to start a conversation about what it would look like to serve in Student Ministry? Fill out the 1 minute "Serve in NextGen" form below to get in touch with us!
Small Group Leader
Co-lead a group of students, engaging with them through conversation, games and teaching both in and outside of the church to help students own and discover more their faith. (Weekly on Wednesdays, 6-8pm)
Greet students as they check in prior to programming and assist new families with the check in process, and be prepared to answer questions regarding programming and events. (1x per month Wednesday 6:00-6:45pm and/or Sunday 10:45-11:15am)
Event Support Team
An Event Support volunteer helps to run our events smoothly through event set up, tear down, administrative support and registration. This helps to free up the Student Ministry staff and connecting volunteers so they can fully participate and interact with students during the event. (On occasion based on events)
Plan and lead musical worship for and with our students on a regular or rotating basis as well as coordinate and schedule with student musicians (Occasionally with rehearsal on Sunday 9:30-10:30am and Wednesdays 6:00-7:00pm)
Snack Bar Team
Facilitate the snack bar, coordinate and schedule student and adults volunteers, count money and manage inventory (1x per month on Wednesday, 6:00-6:45pm)
Set up and shut down all tech for events and programming as well as assisting and training students on the tech team (Occasionally on Wednesdays, 6-8pm).
A leader who is willing to pitch in wherever needed such as substitute small group leader, food set up, event tear down, etc. (Occasionally on Wednesdays, 6-8pm)
