A Rabbi, a Leper, and a Bunch of Religious Folks Have Dinner Together and No One Laughs

Luke 14 describes one of the worst dinner parties we have in Scripture. The Pharisees are elbowing each other out for a better seat, there’s a leper in the room and Jesus even calls out the host. Fair to say, it’s a lame party. Jesus offers us wisdom on how we can live with humility and compassion, who we should invite to our table. It’s almost as if Jesus is showing us how we can throw better parties.
