A Typical Mom to Mom Morning
First we gather for a large-group lecture on a topic
pertinent to our lives as moms. Twelve “core
curriculum” video lectures are given by Linda Anderson,
founder of Mom to Mom and its teaching leader here
at Grace Chapel for 12 years. The mother of three
adult children, she has a background as an educator
and reading specialist, and has been teaching
parenting groups and Bible studies for almost two decades.
She integrates much of her own life and reading into
her Biblically-based teaching.
To supplement the core video lectures, we regularly
welcome to Mom to Mom guest speakers—
professionals, members of our community, and church
staff personnel—who address us on topics pertinent
to parenting and family life.
The morning’s lecture is followed by a coffee
break, after which we gather in small groups, each led
by an experienced mother, to discuss the topic of the
morning and apply it to our own families. Here we
have a safe place to share the joys and frustrations of
motherhood and to explore the promises and purposes
God gives to us as parents.
