Joel Meiners serves on the staff of Straight Ahead Ministries at the new Straight Ahead Academy at Hubbardstown, MA. The mission of Straight Ahead Ministries is to see Jesus Christ transform the lives of juvenile offenders. One key after release is to welcome the teens back into the community and then to welcome them into the church. Straight Ahead works with local churches to design a community-based “Aftercare” solution that provides job and educational opportunities for the teens.

NEAM is a Christian residential program based in Framingham for former inmates and men with substance abuse problems that is working towards the reconciliation and reintegration of these men into society in the New England area. There are many opportunities for volunteers, especially in building maintenance related tasks.
