Getting Involved
The Vocal Teams are ‘up front’ singers of any age who provide backup for the worship leader. These singers must be capable of learning and presenting their vocal parts with excellence. Singers may also choose to be in the choir. The Vocal Teams follow the same rehearsal schedule as the Worship Bands.
The commitment is as follows:
Classic Service
Thursday: 7PM - 9PM.
Sunday: Run-through from 8:30AM - 9AM, Service at 9:15AM
Contemporary Service
Thursday: 7PM - 8:15PM
Sunday: Run-through from 8AM - 8:30AM, Service at 11AM
Courtyard Services
Sunday: Rehearsal from 8AM - 9AM, Services at 9:15AM and 11AM
GC@Nite Service
Sunday: Rehearsal from 4PM - 5:30PM, Service at 6PM
Music will be available online the Wednesday prior to performance, and in hard copies at rehearsal. Singers are expected to come to rehearsal having listened to and read through the music, to understand the roadmap of the piece and to begin to address any difficult passages in the piece.
Requirements: You must be able to hear harmonies and hold a part independently for contemporary services. Reading music is required for the Classic services and helpful for Contemporary services. An audition is required.
Our Vocal Teams welcome members or regular attenders of all ages who can independently demonstrate a mature commitment to our schedule and our ministry goals.
