The GO Conference

Friday, 5/20/16

About the Event

http://www.goconf.org

There is a mandate to all of us in Micah 6:8 to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly. What would it look like if we were to all make that OUR mandate and walk it out in our context with intention and unity? What would it be like if we eliminated the we're right and they're wrong mentality and lived unified around this Biblical directive? Who - in addition to you - would come and take up the call to do this together?

Well, on May 20th and 21st in Hartford at the Connecticut Convention Center, Vision New England invites you, along with 1800 other people, to gather, explore, learn, pray, and celebrate these things and our future TOGETHER at the 2016 GO Conference

In your event packet there is an insert about the GO Conference. Many of you know who Vision New England is, and if you don't, we hope you will. They are in their 126th year of uniting churches across denominational lines to see the gospel shared across the region and they are possibly best known for their previous Annual Conference known as CONGRESS. The GO CONFERENCE is a new initiative with a new vision - to see 1 million Christians in New England doing justice, loving mercy, walking humbly and making disciples.

All 4 main speakers are Incredible leaders in these Micah 6:8 areas. They will inspire and equip you to take the Micah 6:8 plunge in your communities
• Bryan Stevenson - Founder of the Equal Justice Initiative,
• Rich Stearns - President of World Vision,
• Carl Medaeris - Expert on arab-American relations and Author of many books, most recently "Speaking of Jesus, the Art of Not-Evangelism"
• Reverend Liz Walker from Roxbury Presbyterian will speak into these areas to both inspire and equip you to do just that in your communities.

The Conference will also include: 36 Interactive and mobilizing workshops around these 4 tracks - discipleship, justice, mercy and humility

Tickets include a FRIDAY EVENING CONCERT and celebration with the nationally renowned band UNSPOKEN. You are invited to join us in celebrating what God is doing throughout New England at GO LIVE.

Unspoken, a dove award winning artist out of Maine, will also lead worship for the entire conference.
