Pastor Bryan has challenged us in January to go deeper, grow closer, and reach wider. Part of reaching wider is bridging cultural boundaries through deeper authentic relationships and sharing of the “good news” in culturally sensitive ways. To reach wider we need to learn how to lead and serve more effectively in a diverse setting, whether at home, at work or at church. And, it requires, getting outside of Grace Chapel’s walls.
In April we have a unique opportunity to do both with hundreds of pastors and leaders from all over the United States and Canada, at the Ethnic America Network, Boston Summit – April 15-17. The theme, A City Without Walls, is taken from the book of Zechariah where it describes characteristics of our future in the New Jerusalem. It is a future where the “walls” that often separate us by culture, denomination, generation, and gender will cease to exist.
