ESOL Courses

ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes at Grace Chapel are designed to help immigrants and other internationals in the local community learn conversational English in a comfortable setting. Class levels range from beginning to advanced.

All classes take place at the Adult Learning Center (2 Militia Drive, Lexington, MA 02421) at our Lexington Campus. For more information on ESOL, call 781-862-8351 ext. 2219 or email .

spring 2017 classes: 

Classes begin Tuesday, January 17 and Thursday, January 19; registration is Tuesday, January 10. Note: Registration for Tuesday classes is closed until the Summer program beginning May 30.

US History Overview, a six-week class, will be offered Thursday evenings March 1 through April 6, 7:00 – 8:30pm. We will do a brief overview of US History and will engage in discussions to practice what we have covered and related vocabulary and grammar. Minimum ESOL class level Intermediate/Level 3 or above. Cost is $5 for 6 weeks.

ESOL Bible Study “What is Jesus Really Like?”, a five-week class, will be offered on Thursday evenings from 7:00 – 8:30pm beginning March 1 through March 30. We will be looking at Bible passages in the Book of Mark, using the NIRV translation, a good translation for ESOL speakers. There will be time for study on our own, sharing observations of what we find, and discussion. Recommended for Level 4 (Intermediate) or above.

Wednesday Morning class registration is Wednesday January 4. Ongoing registration on Wednesdays, 9:45-10:00am.

Alpha for ESOL: Would you like to ask and discuss questions of life and faith in a safe and relaxed environment? Would you like an opportunity to learn about the Christian faith? This course will be held April 20, 2017 through June 15, 2017. Learn more about Alpha.
