A Reaching Heart
We become more like Christ on the inside…when we bring people closer to God and to each other(or, when we build positive relationships with everyone in our world), instead of sticking to ourselves and to people like us.

A Reaching Heart
I chose to paint "A Reaching Heart" because I felt particularly connected to the subject after going on my first-ever missions trip this summer. Our missions trip to Peru showed me the power of joining together to bring the Gospel to those in need. For this painting, I prayed that God would inspire me to convey what I believe is how He wants us to reach others for Christ. My inspiration was not only my own experience (you can find me with my arm around a Peruvian woman with a huge smile!) but the faithful souls in our church who reach out and serve others both locally and around the world. They give selflessly to reach others in hopes of being the hands and feet of Jesus Christ here on earth. I have collaged photographs from groups at Grace that reach out and make a difference. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
