Transformation Prayer

Thank you, Lord, for the possibility of transformation; that by your gracious, powerful, and personal work in my life, I can become more and more like your Son, Jesus Christ.

I pray, Lord, that this year you would lead me into the insights, experiences, relationships, and practices that will transform my heart.

I confess, Lord, my desperate need for you. Apart from you, I have nothing and can do nothing of eternal significance.

I repent, Lord, of my sins and my sinfulness. My heart is grieved over everything that's wrong in this world, and for all the wrong I have added to it.

I surrender, Lord, to your good and eternal purposes for my life. 

I trust you, Heavenly Father, to meet my true and deepest needs.

I fix my eyes on you, Jesus, that I might learn from you how to live.

I invite you, Holy Spirit, to fill me with your powerful presence moment by moment, so that day by day I will look and live more like Jesus.
