Your LIFE Community has completed reading and discussing Better Together and viewing the videos by Rick Warren. You now have a
wonderful opportunity to continue discussing how to be even better together in the areas of Outreach, Fellowship, Discipleship, Service
and Worship.
There is no video to watch or book to read. It simply involves talking together about where you are, what you want to become as a LIFE
Community and what you will commit to doing - your “Next Steps”. To help guide your discussion, an assessment tool is printed on the
reverse side of this sheet. The assessment process consists of two steps.
Before you begin each step pray for God’s Spirit to guide you into seeing your community through the eyes of the vision He has for you. Ask Him to speak into your heart so that you can discern what He sees as your “Next Step.” He knows the plans He has for you. He promises to lead us when we seek Him with all our hearts.

Step 1
Take time to complete the assessment on your own. Assess where you believe your LIFE Community is for each of the items within Outreach, Fellowship, Discipleship, Service and Worship. In the next to the last column identify what you sense God nudging your LIFE Community to commit to doing next in this area.
Step 2
Have an open discussion for each value as a LIFE Community. Discuss how you each see your community at this time. Most likely different
individuals will see your community at different places. That is fine. The key is to engage heart to heart in an authentic discussion. Following your discussion prayerfully discern what God desires your community to commit to doing as a next step in each area. Set some time frame for checking back in to assess your progress. The goal is to keep moving toward God’s vision - getting better together in community. He has plans for you, your community and the church. Join Him in making those plans become reality as you live out His love from your hearts, becoming bright lights within your towns, places where you work, your own families and your neighborhood, the church and in the world in which He longs for others to know Him.
